Wedgwood at the Anatole Hotel, Dallas, TX

Dallas' legendary Hilton Anatole Hotel has unveiled its expanded art collection as part of a $39-million renovation. A free, self-guided audio tour of the collection, one of the largest and most intriguing private assemblies in the world, features 22 of the hotel's more than 1,000 pieces by such artists as Pablo Picasso, J. Seward Johnson Jr., and Josiah Wedgwood.

While the works on the tour are located in public areas, images, paintings, and sculptures are sprinkled throughout the hotel, with the decor often framed around the art. The Asian-inspired art and decor has been extended into the redesigned guest rooms, which feature rich golds, exotic greens, and bold blues with hints of Eastern-inspired influences in the bedding, drapery, furniture, and carpet. The bathrooms also have been fully recreated from top to bottom with new floors and ceilings, full-tile walls, and tub and shower enclosures enhanced by granite and marble accessories and accents.

Located on a 45-acre campus, the Hilton Anatole Hotel offers recreational activities, including an 80,000-square-foot state-of-the-art fitness center, tennis courts, three swimming pools, and an indoor jogging track; and 10 boutiques. The 11 restaurants and lounges include an award-winning eatery located on the 27th floor with panoramic views of downtown Dallas.
